Iranian media have reported that Molavi Mohammad Anwar Rigi, a Sunni prayer leader in Mirjaveh county, Sistan and Baluchestan province, has been assassinated by unidentified gunmen. According to the reports, the attack took place at around 4:00am on Monday, 20 July, when Molavi Rigi, the Friday prayer leader of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Mosque in Mirjaveh, was targeted by unknown individuals. No information has so far been released regarding the identity of the attackers, possible arrests, or the motive behind the killing.
