Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organisations in Vienna, has warned of the potential consequences of any attack on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant. In a post on social media platform X, alongside a video showing a recent US air strike near the facility, Ulyanov said any attack on nuclear installations would be a “crime” and a clear violation of international law. He warned that an attack on the Bushehr plant could have “catastrophic consequences” for all countries in the Gulf region and called for such strikes to stop. The comments came after reports suggested that parts of Iran’s Bushehr nuclear facility had been targeted, raising concerns. Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation denied the reports, saying the plant remained in a “safe and stable condition.”
