Pakistan’s Interior Ministry has reportedly instructed provincial authorities, police and relevant agencies to begin the arrest of Afghan nationals living in the country without valid visas from Friday, 10 July. According to reports, a letter issued by the ministry directed relevant authorities to implement the order in a coordinated and effective manner. The move comes as part of Pakistan’s ongoing measures against undocumented migrants, a policy that has previously included the detention and deportation of some Afghan nationals.
