Reuters has reported that the death toll from the recent earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 1,430, while thousands of other people have been injured. Search and rescue operations are continuing in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and La Guaira. However, repeated aftershocks have complicated relief efforts. Meanwhile, a website affiliated with Venezuela’s opposition has reported that around 55,000 people remain missing or are believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.
