US President Donald Trump said that if a final agreement between Iran and the United States were to allow Tehran to charge fees or impose costs on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, such a provision would be unacceptable to him. Responding to a question, Trump said he would not accept any agreement containing such a clause. He added that the United States has significant leverage and that granting such concessions to Iran would likely lead to similar demands from other countries. “This would be unacceptable to me. I will not accept it. This could change everything,” he said.
