The Ministry of External Affairs of India has said that the country has sent a new consignment of essential medicines weighing 5 tonnes to Kabul. The ministry says these aid supplies are part of India’s commitment to continued humanitarian assistance and the improvement of the health situation of the people of Afghanistan. New Delhi has on several occasions in recent years sent medical and food assistance to Afghanistan, describing it as part of its humanitarian cooperation with the Afghan people.
