U.S. President Donald Trump has criticised the ongoing Israeli attacks in Lebanon, saying the conflict has gone on for too long and has resulted in significant casualties. He also condemned Israeli strikes on residential buildings, stressing that not all residents of these buildings are members of Hezbollah. Trump further said he had suggested to Israel that Syria be allowed to confront Hezbollah. He added: “I think Syria will do a better job in this regard.” In his remarks, he also stated that if he were not in power, Israel would not exist today.
