Trump: Deal With Iran Completed; Strait of Hormuz to Reopen

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that an agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran is “now complete” and that its final stages have also been concluded. In a message on , Truth Social, Trump said that implementation of the agreement would begin a process to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for commercial shipping and would also bring an end to the U.S. naval blockade. “The deal with Iran is now complete. Congratulations to everyone,” Trump wrote. He also said that the free flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz would resume. The remarks come as reports had previously indicated that the two countries were nearing an agreement aimed at ending months of tensions and hostilities. According to reports, the agreement includes a halt to military operations, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the start of talks regarding Iran’s nuclear programme.
