U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the war with Iran has ended and that the two sides have reached an agreement under which Tehran will never obtain nuclear weapons. He added: “We have reached a major agreement with Iran. It is a big deal. There will be no more nuclear weapons, and people will return to their homes very soon. Nearly everything has been completed, and we have achieved our objectives.” The U.S. president did not provide further details about the reported agreement and did not clarify the framework under which such an arrangement would be implemented.
