Iran Warns Regional States Against Allowing U.S. Military Operations From Their Territory

Iran has warned countries in the region against allowing their territory or facilities to be used for U.S. military operations against the Islamic Republic. In a statement issued on Saturday June 6 , Iran’s Foreign Ministry said regional countries should adhere to the principle of “good neighbourliness” and prevent their territory from being used for what it described as “aggressive actions” against Iran. The warning came after U.S. strikes early on Saturday targeted Iranian radar installations in Sirik and on Qeshm Island. Tehran described the attacks as a “clear violation of the ceasefire” established in April 2026 and a “military aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity.” It also called on the United Nations Security Council to respond to what it described as a blatant breach of the ceasefire. Meanwhile, the U.S. military said it had intercepted several missiles launched by Iran toward Kuwait and Bahrain prior to the strikes and had also shot down four Iranian drones near the Strait of Hormuz. According to the U.S. military, radar facilities on Qeshm Island and in the Goruk area were targeted following those incidents. Despite a ceasefire that took effect on April 8, 2026, tensions between Tehran and Washington remain high, with both sides repeatedly accusing each other of violating the truce and carrying out retaliatory attacks.
