Russia has once again announced its readiness to assist in transferring enriched uranium out of Iran. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Thursday, during a press briefing, that Moscow remains prepared to help facilitate the removal of enriched uranium from Iran. She stressed that Russia is not imposing the proposal and that any decision on the matter depends on the parties involved. “Russia is ready to assist in the transfer of enriched uranium from Iran, but Moscow is not imposing this proposal,” Zakharova said. The remarks come as discussions over Iran’s nuclear programme and diplomatic efforts aimed at easing regional tensions continue.
