Trump Says Talks With Iran Have Reached Final Stages Toward a Comprehensive Agreement

U.S. President Donald Trump said negotiations between the United States and Iran aimed at reaching a final agreement have advanced significantly and that the final details are currently under review. In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said talks involving the United States, Iran and several other countries had entered the final stage and that further details would be announced soon. He added that, if the agreement is finalized, issues including the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz would be part of the arrangement. According to Trump, consultations have also taken place with a number of regional leaders during the process, including officials from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain, as well as with Pakistan’s army chief. Trump said the final details of the agreement would be officially announced after the review process is completed.
