The New York Post has reported that US President Donald Trump did not carry his personal mobile phone during his two day visit to Beijing. According to the report, the decision was driven by security concerns. The report said Trump and members of his delegation were barred from using personal devices during the trip and instead relied on “clean devices” restricted tools designed to reduce the risk of cyber threats and information leaks. It also said that the personal phones and electronic devices of delegation members were kept aboard Air Force One inside Faraday bags, which block signals such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and RFID. Air Force One, the aircraft used by the President of the United States, is considered US territory regardless of its geographic location and operates under special security measures aimed at protecting sensitive information and communications.
