Afghanistan’s national futsal team has climbed to 21st place in the world and fifth in Asia in the latest rankings released by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of Afghanistan’s Olympic, Physical Education and Sports Directorate, wrote on his X page that the national futsal team moved up seven places in the new FIFA rankings to secure the 21st global position. He added that the team is also ranked fifth at the Asian level. According to Wasiq, Afghanistan’s national futsal team earned 1,194.68 points, rising from 28th to 21st place in the world rankings.
