U.S. media report that at least eight children, aged between one and 14, were killed in a shooting in the state of Louisiana. The incident occurred yesterday in the city of Shreveport. According to The New York Times, a total of ten people were shot, and the condition of two others remains unclear. Police have confirmed that the gunman, responsible for the attack, was killed following a pursuit and confrontation with law enforcement officers. Chris Bordelon of the Shreveport Police Department stated in a press briefing that the incident was domestic in nature, involving a shooting between two families. He said officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire in the 300 block of West 79th Street, with another house on Harrison Street also forming part of the crime scene. The official added that the suspect forcibly stole a vehicle after the incident but was killed during a police chase. Authorities said he was the sole shooter, and several of his own grandchildren were present in one of the targeted homes.
