U.S. President Donald Trump has said that negotiations with Iran could resume within the next two days, with a strong possibility that talks will again be held in Pakistan. Speaking to the New York Post on Tuesday, Trump noted that Pakistan has played an important role in the process and is likely to host the next round. The remarks come amid reports that discussions may restart later this week, possibly in Islamabad. Recent direct talks between the two sides in Pakistan marked the highest-level engagement since 1979 but ended without an agreement. Both sides have expressed willingness to continue negotiations, while Pakistan is actively consulting with both parties to arrange the next round. Officials say Iran has signaled readiness to participate. Diplomatic efforts are also ongoing to preserve the fragile ceasefire established on April 8, which is set to expire on April 22. Despite international support, key disagreements over agenda, objectives, and venue remain unresolved.
