Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban, has reported that 61 people have died as a result of recent floods and other natural disasters in Afghanistan. According to Mujahid, four individuals remain missing and 116 others have been injured. Additionally, 2,448 homes have been either partially or completely destroyed. He added that approximately 26,841 acres of agricultural land have been damaged, and nearly 1,045 livestock have been lost. While the recent rainfall has caused significant damage, it has also raised hopes for alleviating the persistent drought conditions in the country.
