Thousands of Afghans have staged large-scale public protests in Paktia province against Pakistan’s recent military strikes. According to reports, demonstrators condemned the Pakistani attacks and called on the international community to take action to prevent further assaults. Based on figures confirmed by the Taliban, 114 Afghans have been killed and at least 139 others injured as a result of Pakistan’s military incursions and strikes inside Afghanistan. Some Afghan citizens claim that the Taliban have concealed the true number of casualties in order to prevent Pakistan from being discredited. They describe this as clear evidence of cooperation with “Badra.” The Taliban have not yet commented on the public protests against Pakistan’s attacks within the country.
