KANDAHAR: Local sources in Kandahar province said that the bodies of three women have been discovered in the Spin Boldak district. According to the sources, the bodies were placed in a sack and buried have been found today near the “Sargo” mountain in the sixth district of Spin Boldak. Available information suggests that these women were killed several months ago, and their remains were buried in the same location. The bodies have been transferred to the Spin Boldak district government hospital for identification, but the identities of the victims have not yet been released. The motive and perpetrators behind the incident remain unclear. Local Taliban officials in Kandahar have not commented on the matter as of this report. Since the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, there have been reports of mysterious killings of women in various provinces. In some cases, domestic violence has been suggested as a potential cause, yet in many instances, the reasons and motives for the killings remain unknown.
