TEHRAN: Reza Pahlavi, son of the former Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, has issued a message on his X account, claiming that recent massive protests, particularly over the last two weeks, have shaken the foundations of the Islamic Republic. He declared a “new phase of national uprising,” asserting that this action is conducted with the “legitimacy and public support” of the people. “Widespread demonstrations in Iran have called into question the legitimacy of the Islamic Republic regime, marking the beginning of a new stage in the fight against the system,“ he said adding that the millions of responses from the public have granted him political and moral legitimacy. In his message, he emphasized that the occupation and maintenance of the city’s main streets must continue. He categorized the institutions responsible for the regime’s “lying propaganda” and severing communications as “legitimate targets.” He urged government employees, armed forces, and law enforcement to stand with the people and “join the nation,” warning that support for the regime would result in “the lasting anger and curse of the nation.” Pahlavi claimed that all Iranian embassies and consulates abroad belong to the people, declaring that the time has come to raise “the national flag of Iran” instead of the Islamic Republic’s flag. He asserted that the country is on the brink of retaking Iran from the Islamic Republic, stating that Ali Khamenei and his regime have suffered “heavy blows” from the people. According to him, the regime is facing serious shortages, and the increase in shootings against the populace is a sign of “scarcity, fear, and the anxiety of a rapid collapse,” rather than strength.Reza Pahlavi emphasized that they will not allow the regime to have a chance to “breathe again” and will not permit further bloodshed among the youth, stating that there is no fallback and that they will pursue the path to freedom. He added: “We are not alone, and international support will reach us very soon.” Pahlavi urged his supporters to stay tuned for his upcoming messages, promising that celebrations of freedom and victory would occur throughout Iran very soon.
