Seven members of a family dead in an explosion in Farah

FARAH: Local Taliban officials in Farah have reported that an explosion in a home has resulted in the deaths of seven family members. The Taliban’s Information and Culture Department in Farah said on Tuesday, that the incident occurred in the Nawabad village of the Balablok district. According to their statement, the explosion took place in the home of an individual named Jan Mohammad, also known as Malang Janan Qalandari. Among the deceased are Qalandari himself, his wife, and their five children, all of whom are reportedly minors. The Taliban have not yet clarified the nature or cause of the explosion. Similar incidents in the past have posed significant threats to families in the region.
