Afghan civil activists establish “Peace and Freedom” Movement in U.S.

WASHINGTON: A group of political and civil activists from Afghanistan residing in the United States has launched a new movement called “Peace and Freedom.” Members of this movement announced on Saturday that their main objective is to amplify the voices of youth and opposition forces against the Taliban at both national and international levels. According to the group, the “Peace and Freedom” movement will work towards achieving social justice and engaging in non-violent resistance against the injustices present in Afghanistan. The movement has also stated that it will soon establish representations in Germany and Iran. Members of the movement emphasized that their core goals include raising global awareness about the situation in Afghanistan, documenting human rights violations, and mobilizing youth for organized and justice-seeking movements.
