KABUL: In a Tri-Series, the Afghanistan national cricket team triumphed over Pakistan by 18 runs in their third T20 match. The game, held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, saw the Afghan team win the toss and opt to bat first. They posted a total of 169 runs, losing five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ibrahim Zadran was the standout performer with the bat, scoring 65 runs, while Sadiqullah Atal contributed 64 runs. Pakistan, in response, could not chase down the target, managing only 151 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs, resulting in an 18-run defeat. In this match, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmad each took two wickets for Afghanistan. The Afghan cricket team is set to play their fourth match in the Tri-Series against the United Arab Emirates on September 5.
