KABUL: The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce has signed a bilateral trade agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic. This agreement was reached during a visit by a delegation led by Acting Minister Nooruddin Azizi to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Reports indicate that, in addition to facilitating bilateral trade, Kyrgyzstan has committed to simplifying trade visas, improving banking relations, and easing transportation routes for Afghan traders. Earlier this year, Kyrgyzstan removed the Taliban from its list of terrorist organizations. Additionally, Turkmenistan has resumed work on a major gas pipeline project with Afghanistan, while Uzbekistan signed cooperation agreements worth $2.5 billion with the Taliban in August.
