KIYV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukrainian soldiers are engaged in combat with foreign mercenaries in the northeastern part of the country. According to Zelensky, the mercenaries have arrived from various countries, including Pakistan, China, and some regions of Africa. Previously, Zelensky had accused Moscow of recruiting Chinese mercenaries to fight against Ukraine, a claim that Beijing has denied. Reuters reports that Zelensky, after visiting the front lines in Kharkiv, mentioned on his X that their troops are receiving reports of mercenaries from China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and African countries, asserting that these individuals will not go unanswered.
