WASHINGTON: In a targeted shooting near the Jewish Museum and the FBI office in Washington, two Israeli embassy employees, a man and a woman, were killed.
The incident occurred as they were leaving an event at the museum.
Reports indicate that several other embassy staff members were also injured.
Police and the FBI are currently investigating, and a suspect has been arrested.
Danny Danon, Israel’s representative to the United Nations, described the attack as an “anti-Semitic terrorist act” and called for a strong response against those responsible.
The incident took place at 9 PM local time, prompting a significant security presence in the area.
