Vikram Misri, Deputy Foreign Secretary of India, in a press conference today, rejected claims of an attack on Afghanistan, calling Pakistan’s allegations as “ridiculous and baseless.”
He emphasized that the people of Afghanistan do not need reminding of which country has repeatedly targeted Afghanistan’s civilian infrastructure and non-combatants over the past year and a half.
The remarks came after Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, claimed in a press conference earlier today that India had fired six ballistic missiles toward Pakistan, with one landing in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Sophia Qureshi, senior commander of the Indian Army, stated that attacks on Pakistani territory had occurred at the Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur air bases. She also denied Pakistan’s claims regarding the destruction of the S-400 defense system.
