ISLAMABAD: Manzoor Ahmed Pashteen, leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, has stated that Pakistan considers Pashtuns its primary enemy, not India.

Pashteen’s remarks come while the Pakistani military forces shot women and children in Tirah, Janikhel, Khyber, and Bannu areas.

According to reports, three people, including a woman and a child, were injured yesterday in Tirah due to shelling by Pakistani forces.

He noted that while Pakistan has been attacked by India, it retaliates against innocent Pashtun residents in their homes. Pashteen has once again criticized the Pakistani government for detaining Pashtun leaders and called for their release.

Previously, he had also condemned some Pashtuns who align with anti-India sentiments in an attempt to justify their position to Pakistan.

Pashteen’s response comes as India has recently launched an attack on Pakistan in retaliation for the Pahalgam incident.
