India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has said that New Delhi strongly condemns Pakistani airstrikes in Afghanistan that resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed India’s firm support for Afghanistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. Mr Jaiswal said India will continue its humanitarian assistance and development cooperation with Afghanistan, including the supply of medicines and the implementation of projects aimed at improving living conditions. He said “We have sent medicines and other humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, and we have also implemented development projects that help improve people’s lives. This process will continue,” Meanwhile, a former Singaporean ambassador has rejected claims that Pakistan’s problems are caused by India, Afghanistan, or other neighbours, saying instead that Pakistan’s challenges stem from internal mismanagement.
