Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on all parties involved in the latest tensions between Iran and Israel to exercise restraint and avoid further escalation. In a message posted on X on Monday, Sharif said the recent hostilities had demonstrated that the existing ceasefire remains fragile and that continued tensions could have serious and far-reaching consequences for the region. The Pakistani prime minister said Islamabad, together with its “brothers and partners,” was working to find a peaceful and diplomatic solution to the conflict. He added that reaching a political settlement to end the crisis appeared closer than ever. Sharif also reiterated the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and efforts to prevent a wider regional escalation.
