According to media reports, discussions have been held between representatives of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the government of Kuwait regarding the resumption of operations of the Afghan embassy in Kuwait. The talks, which reportedly took place in Muscat as part of diplomatic consultations, focused on consular services and the possible reactivation of the embassy. Officials from both sides are said to have discussed arrangements under which the embassy could once again provide services to Afghan citizens in Kuwait, should a final agreement be reached. However, no official and final transfer or handover of the embassy to the Islamic Emirate has yet been confirmed.
