Iranian Official: Ceasefire Talks With the United States Lack a Stable and Reliable Framework

An Iranian official told Al Jazeera that no agreement with the U.S. negotiating team can be considered “finalized,” arguing that the team lacks a consistent professional and ethical framework and continuously changes its demands and positions. The official added that the repeated shifts in Washington’s positions and demands have created serious challenges for the ceasefire negotiations and made it difficult to reach a sustainable agreement.
