Donald Trump said the United States has given Iran a “final opportunity” for negotiations but added that Washington is not in a hurry. Speaking on Wednesday, Trump called for the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and said he shares the same view on Iran with Benjamin Netanyahu. He also claimed U.S. forces had carried out a large-scale operation in Iran with minimal casualties and said the operation had weakened Iran’s capabilities. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s interior minister visited Iran for the second time in a week as Islamabad seeks to help ease tensions between Tehran and Washington. A fragile ceasefire remains in place after six weeks of conflict, while negotiations are still suspended. Iran has demanded war reparations, an end to port restrictions, and a full halt to hostilities.
