French President Emmanuel Macron has said France will spare no diplomatic effort to ensure safe passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz and is ready to play an active role. Speaking on Monday, he stressed that key issues—including Iran’s nuclear and missile activities, regional instability, maritime security, and stability in Lebanon—must be resolved through sustainable solutions. Macron added that France, together with the UK, will soon host a conference with interested countries to explore a peaceful multinational mission aimed at securing maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized France’s commitment to building a stable framework for peace and security in the region through cooperation and mediation.
