Pakistan Says Iran-US Talks at Impasse but Diplomacy Continues Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that talks between Iran and the United States have not ended but are currently at an impasse. In an interview with CBS, he noted that the first round of direct negotiations, held in Islamabad, concluded without an agreement, but diplomatic efforts remain ongoing. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated that Islamabad will continue to facilitate the talks in the coming days. According to Pakistani officials, the negotiations failed to resolve key differences between the two sides.
