Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, to discuss recent developments in the Middle East. According to a statement released by Russia’s Foreign Ministry, the two leaders exchanged views on the current regional situation and the growing tensions across the Middle East. The statement added that Pezeshkian shared his assessment of recent negotiations between Iran and the United States and expressed appreciation for Russia’s “principled position” in efforts to reduce tensions.
