Taliban and Pakistan have reached an agreement during peace talks hosted by China in Ürümqi to find a comprehensive solution to the crisis arising from tensions in October. A spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, stated that the two countries agreed not to take actions that would complicate or escalate the situation. China, in turn, will maintain relations with both parties and provide a supportive framework for the continuation of dialogue. The Taliban’s Foreign Ministry also reported that negotiations with Pakistan are proceeding positively and constructively, with both sides seeking regional stability and security.
