QALA-E-NAW: Local sources in Badghis province say a young man has committed suicide due to family and economic pressures. According to the sources, the man, identified as Ehsanullah, took his own life on Sunday in the first district of Qala-e-Naw, the provincial capital of Badghis. Since the Taliban returned to power, a growing number of young people across the country have reportedly committed suicide, with economic hardship cited as a major contributing factor. Sources say that during the current solar year, around 14 people have died by suicide in Khost province alone, with most cases linked to financial difficulties. The Taliban have imposed restrictions on the publication of suicide-related news and have banned public participation in the funerals of those who commit suicide.
