TALEQAN: Local sources report that protesters have burned vehicles belonging to an Afghan-Chinese company involved in gold mining in Takhar. Clashes have also occurred between the protesters and Taliban fighters, with estimates indicating that approximately five people have been killed and over ten injured in the ongoing conflict. As of now, the Taliban has not officially responded to the protests or the escalation of violence in Takhar and Badakhshan provinces. Reports suggest that local residents have organized wide-ranging demonstrations against the Taliban and foreign companies involved in mining operations, citing a lack of rights and grievances regarding their activities.
