PUL-E-KHUMRI: As a result of a collision between a passenger bus and a vehicle in the Dushi district of Baghlan province 24 people were injured. The incident occurred last night near the Sang Salakh school. According to the Baghlan Police Command, the 580 model bus was traveling from Pul-e-Khumri to Kabul when it collided with a ten-cylinder vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The injured include men, women, and children, who were transferred to the Baghlan provincial hospital by ambulances from Dushi district and some private vehicles. The health condition of several of them has been reported as critical. Police have stated that the main cause of the accident is still under investigation. This comes just two days after a deadly bus collision in Herat that claimed 79 lives. The lack of proper roads and driver negligence continue to be cited as major factors in fatal traffic accidents in the country.
