KABUL: The Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi, is set to attend a trilateral meeting in Kabul with Taliban representatives and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, following a two-day visit to India. According to foreign media, the foreign ministers of the Taliban, China, and Pakistan will meet on August 20 (Wednesday) in Kabul. This trilateral conference was originally planned to take place in Pakistan but was canceled after the Taliban’s Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, was unable to travel to Islamabad. The agenda for the meeting will focus on counter-terrorism efforts and the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. This comes after a planned trip for Muttaqi to Pakistan earlier in August was postponed due to travel restrictions.
