KABUL: The startup Skilled AI, supported by Amazon and SoftBank, has unveiled an advanced artificial intelligence model called Skilled Brain. This model can be implemented on various types of robots, ranging from industrial machines to humanoid robots. The Skilled Brain model enables robots to think, move, and react to their environment like humans. According to Skilled, robots equipped with this model have demonstrated the ability to climb stairs, maintain balance, and pick up objects in complex environments. Deepak Patak, the CEO, noted that training robots faces challenges due to a lack of available data. Unlike vision or language, there are no ready-made training resources online. Therefore, the model is trained using a combination of human videos, simulations, and real robot data. Abina Gupta, another co-founder, mentioned that all customer robots are connected to a “shared brain,” enhancing the model by sending data back to it. Founded just two years ago, Skilled AI has already raised $300 million in funding, reaching a valuation of $1.5 billion. The team includes former employees from major companies like Tesla, NVIDIA, and Meta.
