US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Iran is still attempting to target US naval vessels in the region.
Rubio warned that any Iranian attack on American ships would trigger a strong US response, including the targeting of Iranian oil tankers.
“I think we will see such an action today as well,” Rubio said.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with both sides facing growing military and maritime confrontation.
