Lahore University of Health Sciences has announced that the admission, transfer and provision of educational facilities to Afghan nationals in medical and dental programmes have been suspended for the current academic year, following a directive from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
According to the university’s notice, Afghan students already enrolled in medical and dental programmes in Pakistan are required to return to Afghanistan under the current policy.
The university has also instructed relevant authorities to complete the necessary administrative procedures, including issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and facilitate the students’ return.
The authorities have been asked to submit a report on the implementation of the directive within 24 hours.
