Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry says significant progress in relations with Afghanistan will depend on the Taliban taking practical and verifiable action against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other militant groups.
The ministry has stressed that mediation efforts alone cannot address Islamabad’s concerns. It says Kabul must provide written assurances that Afghan territory will not be used for militant activities.
The comments come amid continuing tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban, with Islamabad maintaining pressure on Kabul over cross-border militancy.
