An attack in Pakistan’s Balochistan province has left several security personnel dead, according to Pakistani media reports.
The incident took place near Ziarat Cross in Pishin district, where militants reportedly attacked a security position. Pakistani authorities said security forces responded to the attack and killed 11 militants during the ensuing operation.
Separate reports said Pakistani security personnel were also killed and wounded in the fighting, although the exact casualty figures have varied between sources.
Pakistani authorities have blamed Baloch militant groups for a series of recent attacks in Balochistan. The groups have not been independently linked to all of the incidents reported by Pakistani officials.
