30 July 2026 — The United States government is seeking to deport an Afghan woman accused of supporting an ISIS-inspired attack plot to Afghanistan. According to reports, the Trump administration has filed its case with the US Alien Terrorist Removal Court, with a hearing scheduled to take place in Washington on Thursday. The woman, identified as Nazira Hajizada, lives in Fort Worth, Texas. She was arrested earlier this week. The Associated Press, citing the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), reported that investigators believe Ms Hajizada is an ISIS supporter and allegedly encouraged her children to pledge allegiance to the militant group. The FBI also alleges that Ms Hajizada supported a plot by her relatives to carry out an ISIS-inspired attack in the United States.
