US President Donald Trump says he has not yet ordered “far heavier” attacks against Iran and will wait to see the outcome of ongoing talks if Tehran becomes more serious in negotiations. Trump made the comments after 13 consecutive nights of US strikes against targets in Iran, following which no new operation by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) was reported on the 14th night. Speaking to reporters at the White House,Trump said negotiations with Iran were continuing and that, in his view, Iranian officials were becoming more serious with each passing day. He warned that Iran must choose between reaching an agreement and facing “far heavier” attacks, adding that the United States was fully prepared for expanded military action but wanted to see what the talks would produce. Trump said Tehran was not yet ready for a final agreement, but added that Iranian officials were seeking a deal and showing greater seriousness in negotiations.
