Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it carried out a new wave of attacks targeting several radar systems and military positions linked to the United States in Kuwait and Bahrain. In a statement, the IRGC said radar systems near Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base and Bubiyan Island were targeted, and claimed that a US F-15 fighter aircraft was destroyed while inside a hangar. The IRGC had also previously claimed that a data infrastructure facility belonging to a US company in Bahrain, as well as American air defence and radar systems in the country, were targeted. The claims have not been independently verified. US Central Command (CENTCOM) has not issued an official response to the reported attacks so far.
