Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it targeted parts of a US military facility in Kuwait in an attack. In a statement, the IRGC said several ammunition depots, a missile defence detection radar, two HIMARS ground-to-ground missile launch systems, and a number of stored missiles were among the targets. The Iranian military force claimed that the strikes caused a “large-scale fire” at the US base. Meanwhile, Kuwait’s military said that its warning systems and air defence units were activated at around 05:00 local time following what it described as drone and missile attacks attributed to Iran.
